2nd Line Application Support Engineer- Portsmouth

£ negotiable + on call allowance+ benefits
Please note once trained this role will include on call rota so candidates must live within a 40 minute commute of Chippenham and have full UK driving license with no more than 3 points.
On call will be one in every 4 weeks (on call allowance applicable)
Candidates must be willing and eligible to under security clearance
We are recruiting for a 2nd Line Support Engineer to be based in Cosham,Portsmouth, we are seeking a candidate with the following skills and attributes;
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Operating system for both Server and Workstation implementations.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Windows diagnostic tools
- Good working knowledge of TCP/IP networking including use of diagnostic tools.
- Good working knowledge of SQL and ability to construct queries and analyse results.
- Ability to investigate application layer issues.
- Comfortable working alone or as part of a growing team
- Ability to support 24/7 high availability systems
- Confident in communicating with key stakeholders and Management both written and oral.
- Expected to liaise with customers/support teams/Service Level Managers/Development and Product Teams on a regular basis
