Our client is looking for a candidate from a background of development, then testing and then architecture. Must have good attention to detail.

Overview

The Software Developer in Test role will be working on our flagship product ControlWorks, working on our next generation software. ControlWorks is a browser based rich, complex application written in Typescript using React/Redux components and a C# .NET and SQL backend.

ControlWorks is used by the emergency services and positively impacts the lives of millions of people around the UK. As of next year, those numbers will be increasing across the world.

The role will be based in our brand-new Bristol tech hub where we will be recruiting an international team who will be following the latest Agile approaches, using cutting edge technologies and techniques. This represents a truly exciting opportunity to grow, learn and contribute.

The Software Developer in Test shall:

• Responsible for the automation test framework and processes
• Coach and mentor the automation testers on the Scrum teams.
• Be able to write automation test code and setup data pre-requisites.
• Participate in development, design and architectural sessions and reviews.
• Have a commitment to quality.
• Be driven by successful goal delivery.

Ideally, the Software Developer in Test shall possess:

Essential

• Strong knowledge of C#
• Strong knowledge of Selenium
• Strong knowledge of unit test frameworks e.g. MSTest, NUnit etc.
• Specflow/BDD

Desirable:

• Building automated testing suites from scratch
• Knowledge of build pipelines in Azure DevOps
