Data Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a Data Analyst from a Financial Services background. You will have 10+ years’ experience with Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing, as well as around 6 years’ experience on Data Consulting.

Responsibilities:

• Interpret data, analyse results and provide meaningful Solutions
• Identify areas where data can be used to improve business activities, defining business users’ requirements
• Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize data efficiency and quality
• Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
• Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
• Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
• Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
• Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
• Develop overall data strategy
• Understand the functional requirements & perform data modelling
• Define and govern data modelling and design standards, tools, best practices
• Define data security and safety wrt. to project and program and Define data sharing rules
• Guarantee adherence to legal and company regulations

Skills:

• 10+ yrs. of exp with BIDW and 6 years on Data Consulting
• Hands on with Data Analysis, Gap Analysis and Data Architecture
• Skilled in developing end to end data load and data consumption and disbursement strategy
• Strong in Data governance (Archival, Data Quality, Data migration etc.)
• Skilled in automated tools to extract data from primary and secondary sources
• Good understanding of OLTP, BIDW Architecture, Development, and Testing
• Ensure data solution meets functional specifications
• Having good understanding of Agile, Iterative and Waterfall model of Project Execution
• Strong Spark, Python and SQL skills
• Having good understanding of Data Life Cycle
• Strong with testing and test case preparation
