We are seeking a Microsoft SQL Server Database Administrator to work our major client with in-depth MS SQL DB administration experience and proficiency in Database monitoring and tuning to provide high availability and optimised service to a portfolio of application SQL based solutions. Having technical knowledge across the Microsoft technology stack, Cloud Services (Azure), networking technologies and a background in application support with a greater level of expertise in one or more areas would be a distinct advantage.

This is an excellent opportunity for a Database Administrator with extensive maintenance and project experience to provide L3 analytical incident management and resolution alongside project based deliverables across these product portfolios to ensure quality service delivery and Service Level Agreement compliance.

Your experience will include:

• Multiple years of commercial Database Administration experience working with MS SQL 2014/2016
• In depth knowledge of MS SQL Server
• Experience of managing a large number of MS SQL Server instances
• RDBMS on large systems in a commercial data centre context
• Experience of configuring MS SQL for high availability and Disaster Recovery using SQL Clustering, Mirroring and AlwaysOn Availability Groups
• Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide a highly available service.
• Experience of writing complex T-SQL, including stored procedures, tables, triggers etc.
