Our client a major business and IT services provider are seeking a talented Systems Administrator to join their team in Letchworth on a permanent basis.

What you will do:

• Support LANs, WANs, network segments in Azure and private cloud setups
• Maintain network and system security
• Manage backup and restore across all environments
• Manage Disaster recovery across all environments and regions
• WSUS Services -Update (Patch) Management - test and implement service packs throughout server/systems
• Troubleshoot problems reported by users and analyse and isolate issues
• Monitor networks to ensure security
• Evaluate and monitor system’s performance
• Troubleshoot and identify performance, connectivity and other issues for applications hosted in Azure, private cloud or on-site
• Maintain integrity of the network, server deployment, and security
• Ensure network connectivity throughout LAN/WAN and cloud infrastructure is on par with technical considerations
• Maintain network servers such as file servers
• Assist on help desk level issues for managed service customers
• Active Directory Services; Domains/Trust management, DNS, Users, Groups, OUs, Group Policy
• Manage and Support all Remote Desktop Services Deployments, including RD Web and RD Gateway.

Your experience will include:

• Previous experience as a Server Administrator or similar capacity role.
• Desired but not critical experience working with Microsoft Azure IaaS
• Strong experience with network, virtualization, Server and RDP technology
• Working technical knowledge of and practical experience with cloud concepts (IaaS)
• Excellent knowledge of Active Directory, AD and authentication technologies
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
