We are currently recruiting for a disciplined and skilled Data Architect with solid experience in designing and developing data migration methods within a Service Management context.

Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to the overall solution design for the ITSM tooling, ensuring data design aspects are covered.
  • Design, develop and gain agreement of detailed data design and data migration methods.
  • Design and develop additional data migration tools as required.
  • Design the consolidated CMS model using UCMDB.
  • Develop CI Data flow integration between CMS and Service Manager tooling.
  • Provide additional integration documentation relating to the data transfer methods and synchronization.
  • Support data migration methods into live operations.
  • Providing guidance to data owners on how data may need to change in order to achieve goals. Additionally, on how products can be configured and used to support ways of working.
  • Participating in relevant governance checkpoints to inform go/no decisions.
  • Participating in relevant governance activities (e.g. regular status reporting).

You will have skills and experience with the following software (listed in order of preference):

• Configuration Management System (CMS)/UCMDB

• Connect-It

• Asset Manager X/Service Management Automation X

Skills:

• Able to demonstrate excellent team-working skills.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across all stakeholder levels.

• Ability to work under pressure and make rational decisions considering relevant risks and taking responsibility for such decisions.

• Specific knowledge of secure government operations and ways of working.

• Previous extensive experience of Service Management Tooling data migrations.

• Extensive experience of implementing and integrating current and previous iterations of Service Manager.

• Extensive experience of Configuration Management tooling (especially UCMDB) and building service models

• Extensive experience of Service Management Tooling capabilities and how they operate.

• Experience in Service Management Tooling integrations over Web Services.

• Specific knowledge of secure government operations and ways of working.

• Background in Service Management Capabilities and experience of working within mixed capability and tooling projects.

• Experience of working with personnel in a cross-agency environment is highly desired.
