Data Protection Engineer

Location : Ideally Knutsford, but can consider London and Northampton.

Pay rate : £450pd inside IR35

Duration : 6 – 12 months initially

Position : Data Protection Engineer

We are looking for a Data Protection Engineer to work in Knutsford. London or Northampton can also be considered.

• Must have experience configuring & upgrading the Symantec Data Loss Prevention platform – Data at Rest, Endpoint, Network

• Must have experience using Symantec Data Insight

• Exhibit a strong technical aptitude and excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across a multitude of technical and non-technical groups

• Strong Windows experience

• Experience in a large global environment required

• Basic Knowledge of SQL, PowerShell and Python – Good to have Intermediate skills on this area

Preferred/Plus requirements – Data Protection

• Good working knowledge of software packaging.

• Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) experience and /or large scale automated client deployment.

• Symantec Endpoint Encryption/Bitlocker experience.

• Understanding of Storage/collaboration platforms - NetAPP and EMC Isilon, SharePoint, Confluence and CIFS Permission models

• Understanding of Log Management tools like ELK and Splunk – Sources, Log Ingestion types , Reporting.
