Infrastructure and Applications Test Analyst

Plans and arranges the labor, schedules, and equipment required for testing and evaluating standard and special devices. Provides test area with parameters for sample testing and specifies tests to be performed. Compiles data and defines changes required in testing equipment, testing procedures, manufacturing processes, or new testing requirements. Responsible for testing all customers samples and for special tests that cannot be performed in the test area. Responsible for designing, developing and implementing cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems and equipment. Expert: Applies advanced subject matter knowledge to complex business issues and is regarded as a subject matter expert. Frequently contributes to the development of new ideas and methods. Works on complex problems/projects where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of multiple factors. Exercises significant independent judgment within broadly defined policies and practices to determine best method for accomplishing work and achieving objectives. Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies. Frequently represents the organization to external customers. Computerized electronic test equipment. Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.

What you will be doing:

• Installation/build of Windows Server/Windows Desktop/Laptop infrastructure including application of Policy, User/role creations to support installation.
• Creation of Installation test cases & execution to provide verification of installation, as per contractual delivery, prior to handover for formal application testing (CORE and Third Party Applications).
• Creation of test cases and identification of test data required in response to clearly defined requirements. Includes the creation of test cases in any areas of testing specialisation.
• Execution of test cases & the recording of test results in accordance with established test plan(s). Includes the execution of test cases in any areas of testing specialisation.
• Test results checking & reporting.
• Test Incident (Defect) logging, investigation & support.

Top 3 Skills needed:

• Creation of Installation test cases & execution to provide verification of installation, as per contractual delivery, prior to handover for formal application testing (CORE and Third Party Applications).
• Defines test cases and creates integration and system test scripts and configuration test questionnaires from functional requirement documents
• Executes functional tests and authors significant revisions to test materials as necessary through the dry run and official test phases. Maintains defect reports and updates reports following regression testing.

Must have skills and experience:

• You must have a Testing Industry Background
• You must be able to demonstrate what their differentiator is
• Ability to write lengthy procedural, step-based narrative test materials including the necessary testbed set-up steps
• Ability to work cooperatively as a part of a global professional team that may be distributed across geographies and time zones
• Ability to complete assigned responsibilities independently in each timeframe with minimal managerial and technical support
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Bachelor's degree in business, mathematics, engineering, management information systems, or computer science, or related field preferred
• Three or more years of software testing experience
• Experience working with developing testware from functional design documents and executing testware against a schedule and in compliance with a methodology
• Typically, Monday – Friday 0900 – 1730 but outside office hours maybe required for Testing
• Minimal Stakeholder Interaction
