Pay rate : £609.52 per day Inside IR35

Duration : 01/05/23-28/09/23 (approx. 3 months)

Responsibilities
Provides Subject Matter Expert knowledge of the MES
Knowledge of the integrations between SAP and PLM and how MES interacts with these systems
Technical knowledge of Siemens Simatic IT 7
Develops, executes and manages test plans
Tests new releases of MES software, fixes and updates
Supports Rolls-Royce during test phase of new plant implementations
Investigates and resolves defects found during test phase
Advises on business user queries during test phase
Inputs to Discovery of manufacturing plants who will be adopting MES
Advises manufacturing plants on how to adopt MES in line with their business processes
Development of user training guides
Delivers business user training and support during MES 7.0 adoption period and following go live
Works closely with client Solution Architect and Siemens
Works closely with MES engineering capability, customers at manufacturing plants and Siemens within integrated Scrum teams
Uses structured problem solving and analytical skills to resolve user queries and defects in the MES application
Develops Information Assurance and updates to design documentation for customer review and approval.
Travel to customer sites during workshops and implementation as necessary
Provide out of hours support during Go-Live periods, to support the implementation and avoid operational issues.
Contributes ideas to support continuous improvement of DevOps processes

Knowledge & Skills:
8-10 years experience in a similar role
10+ Years experience in a global manufacturing corporation
Specialist Business SME knowledge of Siemen SIMATIC IT application
Experience in manufacturing using MES
Knowledge of MES business processes, SIMATIC data structures and manufacturing processes
Knowledge of SAP and PLM and how MES integrates with these systems
Applies appropriate methodologies and SME knowledge to resolve business issues.
Ability to understand the customer's business problem, need, or opportunity and to design an IS solution that appropriately addresses the client requirement.
Provide leadership to opportunity pursuits, prepare proposals, participate in interval review.
Translate RFP or verbal requirements gathered in customer meetings into requirements documents, statements of work, and proposals.
Provide guidance to project defining plan, cost, resource, tracking to ensure successful delivery
Ability to communicate with manufacturing plant team, including super users, MRPs (Material Requirements Planners) and senior plant management
Ability to analyse and resolve data issues in the context of the business processes being used
Work as a consultant, building relationship and influence with senior client stakeholders (up to CIO), and with Siemens partner, to gather, assess and apply technical or operational information for business decisions.
Knowledge of Testing practices and tools to new and existing functionality

Desirable Skills:
Experience of agile working practices
Aware of future technology or operational trends as they relate to and support customer technical requirements.
