Our client requires a Network Engineer to assist with project delivery

We are looking for a Networks Engineer to assist with project delivery, primarily for undertaking

firewall rule changes on Check Point and Palo Alto Platforms. You will be undertaking work for

project managers and will be based within a team of architects, networks and server technical

engineers but may be the only network engineer on the project.

Typically, you would be working on a number of projects concurrently, from 0.5 up to 3 days a week for each project.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Firewall rule changes

• DHCP, DNS and IP changes

• Vulnerability scanning and implementing remediation work

• Trouble shooting connectivity issues and ensuring quality of service

• Working through issues on platforms alongside colleagues that may/may not be network

related

You must have good communication skills and learn quickly. You must understand network security

principles and be experienced in assessing risk, following change management procedures and of

working in an organisation that follows ITIL processes.

If you have the right level of experience you may also be asked to work on:

• Configuring Citrix NetScaler to implement changes to load balancing, WAF, security

protocols and web re-directs

• Extreme/Dell or Cisco switching/routing

• Aruba Wireless

Our client is based in Winchester City Centre a 10 minute walk from the train station. They are currently

home based but you may be asked to work on site.
