A leading law client based in London is seeking an experienced and versatile IT Product Manager to join them on a permanent basis. They are seeking an Office 365 Product Manager to work as the subject matter expert for Office 365 and be responsible for driving user adoption to maximise the value of investment.
You will steer product development through focus on the organisation's goals and priorities. Key outputs for the role are a positive improvement in business practice, effective collaboration and efficient processes. The client is just starting their journey in digital transformation and business change, with their focus on moving to Office 365, so it is a fantastic time to join and play a key role within the business.
Key Accountabilities
Driving adoption of Office 365 across the business to enable the client to manage our processes easily, collaborate with colleagues, customers and members effectively and confidentially produce reports based on reliable data
Establishing effective working relationships with colleagues at all levels across the organisation, including line managers, power users and champions, to ensure that the full value of the investment in Office 365 is realised
Owning the Office 365 roadmap and product backlog, working with the Head of Solutions and business stakeholders to determine how and when apps and features will be brought into service or deprecated
Understanding business requirements, providing advice and guidance on the best solution, and leading proofs of concepts and prototypes
Ensuring new Teams, SharePoint sites, O365 groups, etc are created in line with agreed architecture, taxonomies, standards and governance
Working with the IT Project Manager and Change Manager to plan implementations, migrations and enhancements
Ensuring that reports are timely, useful and consistent
Monitoring statistics to ensure use apps are well used across all teams and decommissioning areas that are no longer required
Identifying candidate processes for migration to Office 365 then specifying and implementing the best solution
Promoting an organisation wide commitment to change and the adoption of good practice to ensure the organisation's corporate strategy is realised
Ensuring optimal technical support is available and managing outsourced support providers
Line managing the IT Learning and Adoption Lead to ensure that learning solutions are delivered at the optimal time using appropriate learning methods to enable effective implementation of new technology
Planning & Organising
Planning the deployment of new apps and features
Planning the decommissioning of deprecated or unused apps and features
Organising sites, subsites and hub sites to support agreed taxonomies and structures
Organising the Term Store to reflect agreed information management taxonomies
Organising reusable components such as templates
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
Essential
Significant, proven experience of implementing solutions based on apps in SharePoint online, including, but not limited to, document libraries
Excellent knowledge of all O365 apps
Good understanding of information management and document management
Knowledge of MS Office desktop apps and how they integrate with O365
Strong stakeholder management skills
Strong coaching, influencing, negotiating and interpersonal skills.
Ability to line manage a small team
Self-starter, able to innovate, work under own initiative and be comfortable with continual change
Proven experience of being able to work under pressure to tight deadlines
Desirable
Knowledge of SharePoint Term Stores
Knowledge of Azure and the M365 technology stack
Recognised O365 certification such as Deploying Microsoft 365 Teamwork (MS300) and Managing Microsoft Teams (MS700)
Automating processes using O365 apps
Experience working in an agile environment
Knowledge of different learning approaches
