As a Risk and Issue Manager your main responsibilities would be:
- To own and maintain the overall status of operational risk relating to Digital scope, providing active support to the leadership team to drive actions.
- To own and maintain the overall compliance status of Digital against a variety of defined / agreed operational standards (both internal and external).
- To maintain effective process and governance to ensure the relevant information is collated, shared and acted upon in the appropriate manner.
- Provide support across Digital to ‘enable’ teams and individuals to understand obligations and build them into local practices and ways of working.
- To identify and drive improvement opportunities to positively affect the trajectory of compliance and consequently Digital risks.
- Work with internal and external organisations on best practice and implement changes in Digital to raise standards.
Essential:
- Knowledge and experience of Risk and Issue Management.
- Experience of developing plans to mature risk capability.
- Experience of reporting and providing RAG data on risks being monitored together with the ability to provide context about impact.
- Stakeholder engagement including reporting, communicating and influencing.
- Ability to use MS Office Applications (Strong knowledge and experience of MS Excel).
- Risk practitioner qualifications (IRM, MoR or eqv) or significant demonstrable experience of working in a risk management role where such methodologies are being applied.
Desirable:
- Familiarity of Government, Defence or security sector.
- Experience/understanding of P3 delivery environment or Digital Service Delivery.
- Delivery of risk training.
