RUBY Test Engineer

Duration : 3 months, possible extension

Clearance: BPSS

Requirement to provide a skilled tester to work with NHS Digital (Live Screening – Breast Screening team) resources. The resource provided will work with the Exeter team as a tester on the deliverables for the Breast Screening system (BS-Select). This system supports and manages the national breast screening programme for women aged between 50 - 70. The Breast Screening team have functionality to deliver in the 21/22 financial year, in particular the implementation of Very High Risk functionality as well as the move of the Breast Screening Select System to the NHSD Cloud Platform as a Service (Texas). This resource will work on this and other deliverables.

Essential skills required as a Ruby Test Engineer:

• RUBY test automation experience – Using raw code to develop
• Experience in automated testing using tools such as Cucumber and Selenium
• Strong in writing unit, integration, end-to-end and smoke tests
• Experience with continuous delivery, continuous deployment and automation
• Proven record of using Test Driven Development (TDD)
• Experience with the Cloud, using AWS
• Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team

Desirable:

• PS/NHS experience
• ISQB test analyst qualification
• AWS practitioner
