Senior Solutions Architect – SC Cleared

Pay rate : £688pd Inside IR35

Duration : 12 months

As a Senior Solutions Architect you will be responsible for working on a variety of projects and creating the overall solution design for each of these projects outlining how the current platform will be amended in order to accommodate the requirements of the project. It will be your job to ensure that you fully understand the existing platform and to work out the best way of achieving the project's objectives from an architectural perspective.

Key duties and responsibilities

1. Liaising with a variety of stakeholders to understand the business problem which needs to be resolved, to understand the project objectives, and to create a solution which will meet these

2. Production of overall design documents mapping known application and infrastructure requirements into a private cloud architecture

3. Working with the relevant Subject Matter Experts to take the overall design documents and break these down into lower level designs that can be used by the engineering teams to build the solution

4. Overseeing technical implementation activities ensuring implementation and testing in accordance with the design and proactively dealing with technical issues as they arise

5.Helping guide the migration and testing strategy for the specifics of applications and infrastructure within the scope of high level designs.

Required Industry and Competencies for this role

1. Ability to interact with key stakeholders at a senior level with excellent communication skills

2. Deep understanding of Microsoft based infrastructures (Windows Server 2016; SQL Server 2016

3. Deep understanding of networking principles (LAN designs; routing; load balancing; DNS ; DHCP)

4. Deep understanding of Cloud architecture across a variety of Cloud platforms including Azure and AWS

5. Understanding of security architecture patterns

6. Familiarity with firewall implementations

7. Familiarity with virtualisation technologies

CVs must demonstrate the following:

• Wintel
• Azure
• Good broad Technical/design experience
• Power BI/App exposure
• High Level Design production
