Minimum Requirement:
Needs to be a Senior User Researcher - any industry is fine BUT need to be working in a technical environment
Working closely with the Service Designer and a Business Analyst, the key focus will be supporting the identification of user needs across programmes of work, supporting the design and development of the required systems and processes. This will include;
Qualifying User need and identifying customer journeys
Co-ordinating development of benefit profiles/ statement to help focus on identifying key areas of value
Supporting the design of the service, focusing on user need to deliver the required outcomes
Working closely with a business analyst to feed user need to support elicitation of required user stories
Stakeholder management and engagement, primarily with end users, but also system developers
Proactive engagement with the delivery team, sharing concepts and focusing on value
Managing, communicating and engaging with varying senior levels within Health and Care organisations
Substantial experience of conducting research with a design or user experience focus.
• Considerable experience of implementing the full research lifecycle from designing research, to planning, implementation, recruitment, conducting research, analysing data, eliciting findings and communicating recommendations
• Demonstrable experience of conducting and leading discovery research as well as research to test hypotheses and prototypes
• Proven ability to communicate confidently within the scope of the role’s responsibilities by using appropriate tools and language (this may be of a technical nature) to a varied audience of internal and external stakeholders
• Proven ability to direct others to undertake specified tasks by clearly determining roles and responsibilities, deliverables, milestones and limits for independent decision
• Can prioritise findings and work with the product team to identify actions and recommendations
• Ability to present research and communicate findings to non - researchers
• Experience of conducting research with diverse populations
• Ability to use a range of software, tools and methods (to conduct user research analysis in order to make robust recommendations)
• Ability to understand NHS business issues and use that understanding to design research that supports the realisation of business objectives.
• Confident in presenting research findings to non - research colleagues
