We are currently recruiting for a Senior Voice and Collaboration Engineer SME to provide architectural support and infrastructure support to the management and infrastructure team for both the Cisco environment and Microsoft Teams environment.
You should have most/all the required skills and experience in a wide range of technologies and not just Unified Communications. You will be part of Client Global Unified Communications Engineering team that owns the design, development, delivery, and experience of Unified Communications System platforms.
As Senior Voice and Collaboration Engineer SME; you will be responsible for the design, selection, implementation, integration, management, user experience and retirement of Collaboration and Communication technology. The position works closely with the IT team and business partners to deliver consistently excellent user experiences and technology experiences for our staff, members, and community.
The ideal candidate should possess advanced Unified Communications knowledge. The position requires intermediate experience using Microsoft Office products.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implementation of Microsoft Direct routing
- Design and implementation of Microsoft calling and meetings
- Work with vendors, clients, carriers and technical staff on implementation, optimization and security of Cisco Unified Communications system and Microsoft Teams. This includes but is not limited to troubleshooting infrastructure and services including CUCM, CUC, IMP, Jabber, video infrastructure
- Carry out maintenance/upgrades on all Infrastructure
- Own analysis of new technologies from start to finish
- Provide support to Video Infrastructure team lead
- Carry out security review of infrastructure and applications
- Research, analyze, recommend and implement new software, hardware, tools, systems and processes to provide state-of-the-art collaboration experience.
- Document procedures and processes
- Develop and maintain user guides, technical guides, project plans and any other system related documentation for respective system.
- Create help files for support teams
- Offer thoughts and solutions on improving current technology
- Escalate issues to vendors
- Provide metrics/reports for conferencing services
- Ability to function in a fast-paced organization
- Adhere to the design, programming and application standards as setup by the company. Including compliance with all firm and departmental policies and procedures.
- Carry out security review of infrastructure and applications
Required skills:
- Microsoft Certification (Teams Administrator/Teams Voice Engineer)
- Ideally CCIE Collaboration, however CCNP Collaboration will be considered
- Ability to establish and maintain a client trust and confidence.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Good troubleshooting skills.
- Self-sufficient, can own an issue and work on it till completion.
- Basic knowledge of the financial services industry.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Teams
- Advanced knowledge of Direct Routing solution for Microsoft Teams
- Advanced knowledge of Session Border Controllers (Cisco Cube/Audiocodes) and SIP Trunking
- M365 and Modern Workplace technologies
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Call Manager & Cisco Jabber
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Meeting Server
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Expressway/VCS
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco Endpoints
- Advanced knowledge of Cisco WebEx Teams (fka Cisco Spark)
- Advanced knowledge of IPTV Streaming/Multicasting
- Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting tools (WireShark etc)
- Knowledge of H.323 & SIP Protocols
- Knowledge of NAT & Firewall Traversal
- Knowledge of VMware architecture
- Knowledge of Microsoft Server environment (2008, 2012, 2016)
- Knowledge of Citrix VDI environment
- Knowledge of MAC OSX environment
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Windows environment (Windows 10)
- Knowledge of MobileIron (MDM) environment
- Knowledge of Networking technologies (Switches, Routers, F5 load balancers, DNS, Firewalls, Proxy Servers, QoS)
- Experience with Cisco TAC support (raising cases, escalating)
- Experience with Microsoft Support (raising cases, escalating)
Desirable skills:
- Knowledge of Cisco TMS
- Knowledge of Cisco Meeting Server & Meeting Manager
- Knowledge of Webex & Zoom
- Knowledge of Zabbix or other monitoring tools
- Advanced Excel skills
- Programming/Scripting experience (Visual Basic/Python etc)
- Rest API knowledge (POSTMAN experience a plus)
- Documentation skills (Visio a plus)
- Application packaging and deployment
