The Surveillance Specialist II conducts independent transactional and process testing on a team in support of identified needs. This role may act as a Surveillance test lead/SME, developing entry level testers by providing coaching and guidance. Surveillance execution completed by this role may include activities such as automated surveillance, transactional and qualitative level testing and may be performed onsite.
The Surveillance Testing Specialist II is accountable for quality testing execution, reporting and analysis of results. This role may participate in test script development and test design. The Surveillance Testing Specialist II collaborates with Compliance and Operational Risk on the identification of themes and trends at the front line unit, control function and enterprise level.
Key responsibilities:
The Surveillance Testing Specialist II may direct entry-level testers, test leaders or directly manage a specialty function. This role is accountable for accurate and timely test execution and/or supports operational and administrative initiative activities related to a Testing Functional area including multiple stakeholders. This role interacts extensively with internal or external contacts to identify, research, analyze and resolve complex problems.
Daily responsibilities of the Surveillance Testing Specialist II include execution of test scripts, identifying and documenting defects and providing daily updates to test leads and managers as needed. This role works closely with Risk, Compliance, and SMEs to conduct testing.
The Surveillance Testing Specialist II has intermediate knowledge of Surveillance test execution and system(s) of record required, and translates business strategy into work programs and processes. This role may contribute and/or participate in multiple special projects.
Skills:
- Surveillance platform - Actimize and SMARTS and other ancillary applications and systems like Bloomberg and FLU applications
- TACS - an end to end platform for monitoring Trade & Communications Surveillance including trades, email, chats, IM's and voice
- holistic surveillance in scope for the analyst I.e. x lob, x market, x country surveillance. The majority of the aged alerts concentrated in AMRS but includes EMEA and APAC
• 5 years Business & Functional Experience
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in Global markets and/or products
• Excellent understanding of global markets, processes and products (Fixed Income and Commodities/Futures Options).
• Ability to handle multiple projects in a dynamic environment
