As a VMWare Tech Consultant you will:

Provide technical capability in the relation to moving Workloads for a legacy vSphere farm to a new vSphere which is based on vSphere, NSX and the third-party tool Morpheus and forms the HPE Greenlake Private Cloud (VM as a Service) Eco-System Provide advice on how to migrate workloads some of which will be “zero downtime” from the legacy VMware farms to the HPE Greenlake Private Cloud (which is based on vSphere, NSX and Morpheus technologies) Technically document the available the migration methods to move workloads from legacy vSphere farm to the HPE Greenlake Private Cloud and facilitate workshops to outline the benefits and impact of each Provide experience and learnings from previous VMware (vSphere to vSphere) migration activities / engagements Be part of a wider migration team including Microsoft Azure, Networking and Migration Architecture

You will have skills in:

• Proven experience of working on large scale VMware migrations with zero down outages and advising the customer on the approach, risks and mitigations
• Detailed technical knowledge experience of vSphere, working knowledge of NSX – and a willing to learn/understand the Morpheus products (with experience being ideal)
• Experience of using the VMware HCX toolset / product to facilitate migrations
• Working knowledge of workloads including Windows, Linux, Networking (Traditional & NSX) and Storage running on a converged infrastructure
