Wildfly Applications Specialist

Pay rate : £550pd Inside IR35 MAX

Duration : Until 28.10.22

The role is to join HMRC’s highest profile project and work closely with the live services team to identify performance improvements for a critical system. You should have strong experience in integrating applications on Wildfly with Oracle Databases including performance tuning, Java and SQL skills. It will be an opportunity to play a key role in improving the performance of a Critical System which will involve client exposure and possibility of supporting the application longer term. The chosen candidate will be accountable for key deliverables, and must be able to use their initiative and work with the team to solve technical problems. The chosen candidate must be an eager, motivated, high energy, dynamic, problem solving individual. As a Wildfly Applications Specialist you will have:

• Strong experience in developing applications using Wildfly
• Integrate as part of a development and test teams
• Deep expertise in Java, JDBC Connection Pooling and SQL troubleshooting/tuning
• BPSS or higher
• Operating Oracle RDBMS on Amazon Public Cloud (IaaS)
• Experience of working on large complex, multi-supplier programmes
• Problem triaging and diagnosis skills as part of highly skills technical team

Nice to have skills:

• JIRA and Confluence
• Experience in Public Sector
• Using Linux development desktop
• EJB3 JPA O/R experience (Hibernate)
• Oracle RDBMS performance analysis tools and performance tuning experience
